Transmissions will stop stop

Interesting article in the NY Times about the last telegram ever sent by Western Union. Completely outmoded, at one point the telegram offered the ability to reach other cities in a day as opposed to the Pony Express who guaranteed 10 days. This is relatively recently, remember.
