Wired magazine on the video

So.

MTV played the video. They didn't tell us it was going to air on MTV2. They aired a crappy analog Beta SP that i believe was their internal review copy.

Who needs em.

"For the most part, MTV and VH1 won't touch video unless bands have sold a huge number of records..."

16 Military Wives - potential tracker problems

The Decemberists site is getting hammered by users in a way it never has before. The result is that there have been some technical glitches and the tracker went down for awhile; as it is hosted there.

It is back up now but there may be sporadic service tomorrow, I'm afraid. In any case a web version of the video is coming very soon.

Here are the credits of some people who worked on it:

Director and Treatment: Aaron Stewart
Producers: Aaron Stewart, Nick Harmer & Bernadette Spear

Cinematographer: Tarin Anderson
Assistant Camerapersons: Matt Barbee, Jeff Feller
Dolly Grip: Thomas

Art Direction: Carson Ellis
Costumier: Bernadette Spear with Margie

Location Manager: Seann McKeel

Henry Stowecroft: Colin Meloy
Molly Curtains: Jenny Conlee
Carl Weiderman: Chris Funk
Jude the Beautous: Nate Query
Jack the Reporter: Chris Walla

Head Teacher: John Roderick

Poland: Carson Ellis
Korea: Esther Kim
Mauritius: Kevin French

Lunch Lady: Alicia Rose

Various other students: Corrina Repp, Dawn Barger, Ezra Holbrook, Alberta, and many more to thank (someone please write me and tell me).

The little girl is NOT the girl from the recording of Picaresque. It's Seann's niece I believe. And I think her name is Pheobe and she was awesome.

Online Editor was Matt HIlber. Downstream provided us with color timing and telecine. Jake Buff was the colorist. Special thanks to Jim Cheek and Tim.

Oppenheimer Cine Rental supplied us with cameras. Gearhead grip did lighting and grip. I cannot thank the proprieters of these fine establishments enough.
